Disebuah sidang media yang berlangsung pada 9hb Nov 2016 YBhg Dato Hj Abd Halim bin Hj Abd Latif, YDP MPS mengemukakan sebuah cadangan untuk memperkenalkan sistem parkir bermeter elektronik yang akan dilaksanakan secara berperingkat di sekitar bandar Seremban bermula pada tahun ini. Caj parkir akan dikekalkan tanpa sebarang kenaikan iaitu masih pada RM0.60 sen sejam.
Sistem parkir meter elektronik yang serba canggih mampu menerima pembayaran melalui syiling, kad tambahan nilai dan e-bayaran melalui applikasi telepon pintar.

At a media conference dated 9th Nov 2016 YBhg Dato Hj Abd Halim bin Hj Abd Latif, YDP MPS said the council will be implementing a new electronic parking system in Seremban beginning this year and has assured that the parking charges will remain the same @RM0.60sen per hour.
The new electronic parking system will be implemented in stages covering about 7,000 parking lots in town. It accepts payment by coins, top up cards and also payment via smartphone App hence enabling car owners to pay without the hassle of returning to their cars.
And here' good news everyone will enjoy free parking for the time being until the new parking system is implemented. However not all the parking lots are free just the ones without parking meters only. And here are a list of places where you can park for free. And more parking lots will be free as they are dismantling all the old parking meters in stages.

Caj parkir akan dikekalkan tanpa sebarang kenaikan iaitu masih pada RM0.60 sen sejam.
Sistem parkir meter elektronik yang serba canggih mampu menerima pembayaran melalui syiling, kad tambahan nilai dan e-bayaran melalui applikasi telepon pintar.
Perkhidmatan ini akan memudahkan pemilik kereta agar tidak perlu berulang-alik ke kereta untuk menambah nilai dan dianggarkan sebanyak 7,000 lot parkir disekitar bandar Seremban bakal diganti dengan sistem elektronik tersebut.
Ekoran itu kesemua lot parkir di bandar Seremban adalah percuma buat sementara waktu sehingga sistem baru tersebut beroperasi. Jadi pandai-pandai lah kamu semua memilih lot parkir dimana meternya telah pun dicabut.
