Farewell firewood Char Koay Teow@Jln Tun Ismail (Templer 'Proton showroom')

Posted by a social media user named Winnie Leong from the Chinese medium group Live in N9, she claimed that this long in business Char Koay Teow (CKT) on tricycle will be calling it quits on the 8th July 2017; this Saturday night. 
Location: Jalan Tun Dr Ismail / Templer road synonymous with the name 'Proton showroom' CKT due to the stall's location in front of the premise.

Using firewood to fry the Koay Teow and Mee gave it a distinctive taste; both husband and wife have been in business for more than 40 years at the same spot, night in and night out. The trusty car battery was the main source of power that illuminates the stall deep into the night.

There were times when we craved for you but you were closed for a long period of time due to health concerns.

And we also understand that you started off with black hair and now you're both in grey and once again, we understand that it is time to say Goodbye.  

Since the word got out that they will be retiring by this Saturday, their regular customers swarmed the stall for one last CKT before it is gone forever.

So long Templer road firewood CKT we're gonna miss you and Thank you for the memories; to both husband and wife, we wish you all the best and bidding you guys a very happy retirement.

Officially retired on the 9th July 2017 and both Mr & Mrs Chan will be looking forward to enjoy their retirement.

Barely 2 months into retirement, fate has dealt a cruel blow on Mr Chan where he met with an accidental death while fishing with his friends off the coast in Port Dickson. May his soul rest in peace. Amitābha.

Masihkah kamu ingat tentang sepasang suami isteri yang menjual char koay teow di hadapan “Proton” showroom di Jalan Templer( Jln Tun Dr Ismail) 

Mereka berdua telah bersara sejak 8hb Julai 2017 yang lalu dan apabila ditanya kenapa tertiba bersara, si isteri berkata ‘Kami berdua sudah pun tua dan selepas 40 tahun berniaga dengan menggunakan warung yang beroda tiga ini, sudah tibanya masa untuk kita ‘enjoy Life’ 

Dan si suami pula berkata “Saya kaki joran teringin sangat menghabiskan masa lapang untuk menikmati hobby tesebut dan kengkawan memancing sudah mula ‘sound’ untuk keluar ke laut”

Namun belum cukup 2 bulan mereka bersara, suaminya En Chan terkorban di laut semasa memancing bersama rakan-rakannya pada 29hb Ogos. 

Bagaimana tragedy berlaku tidak diketahui tetapi rakan-rakanya bertungkus lumus mencuba menyelamatkannya namun tidak berhasil.
