Initially their clients mainly the school leavers with their parents thought it is a gimmick and at the end of the consultation there will be a catch but the sense of relief gradually appear on their faces when they knew that JS Study is actually a one stop University placement center for school leavers setup by Jeffery to help students in choosing the right education pathway.

“Since it is free the students will not have any pressure to sign up or feel obligated” said Jeffrey who is passionate to fulfill the needs and wants of school leavers. 

Jeffrey a true Serembanese went to both St Paul’s Institution and Methodist High school and has worked in numerous education institutions for many years before finally settling down in his hometown.

Prior to that his work in the education industry has taken him to dozens of countries doing exactly what he loved, travelling and meeting people from all walks of life. His background in business and marketing also helped in the formation of his career. 


And after spending a great deal of years at Nilai University, he is highly knowledgeable in both local and international education systems hence enabling him to share it with his clients on the ideas and opinions to help them make the right decisions.

And what has made him to settle down? “The time has come for me to pursue my dream of reaching out to students that are in need of choosing the right path in furthering their studies” And this has led him to set up JS Study Solutions.  

Choosing a course that suits you may sound simple but in reality it is very complex like for example the pre-University program has about 7 options and it is imperative that you make the right choice.

Jeffrey is always giving talk to students on how to choose the right education path. 


Another thing that worries Jeffrey, many students would take the easy way out by giving up half way during the course of their education and it is disheartening to see their potential go to waste.

He always advises to his students not to give up and urged the parents to encourage their children that there are plenty of opportunities out there in the market and there is no substitute for hard work. 

The role of the parents will help shape the education of their children. 

For cases like some students that are not excelling academically they may substitute it with skilled programs like how to be a chef, hairdresser and many more because these career path could still earn them a good livelihood in the future.

On the issue between street smart versus book smart, Jeffrey’s view would to be on the latter as the world is rapidly changing and at least one would need to have a diploma so that they will be able to grab the latest business trend and stay savvy with the latest market development. 

Last but not least Jeffrey's advice to the parents.

Please do not overly enforce on your kids to stick to a rigid study path and too much control will only make them lose interest. And this is why a study guidance is very important because it will allow room for them to explore.
