Punishing the G-Force@PEAK FITNESS
It’s Saturday morning with the sun shining
and the term ‘fit as a fiddle’ never crossed my mind as I sloppily dragged
my feet into the lift of the G Tower hotel with my flabby hand hastily pressing
on the level 7 button.
Alright people it's time to hit the gym!
Let’s start by taking a look at the 1 on 1 personal training conducted by the professional coaches of Peak Fitness.
As for those who needs a female personal trainer there a handful of female coaches at your beck and call.
Time to checkout their studios
The first session was conducted by Ms Marcella at 11.00am
And the second session was conducted by Ms Danielle at 12 noon
Danielle the friendly instructor with a megawatt smile but beware because she can be very punishing and catches you off guard as she has the ability to take your mind off the studio to a serene park where you're casually riding a bicycle and suddenly you’re racing with the pack scaling the slopes of Genting Highlands vying for the title ‘King of the mountain’ in the Le Tour de Langkawi.
The Body Pump
Her fit and well-shaped body wasn't achieved overnight as it all boils down to strict discipline, major sacrifices and astute dieting.
Before and After
When the lift opened I quickly made my way to
the already swarming reception and Lydia was the first to greet me ‘Good
morning and welcome to Peak Fitness’ as she escorted me into the fully
equipped gym.
The first thing that caught my attention,
there are many studio rooms with multiple purposes ie. The Energy Studio,
Holistic Studio, RPM Studio and Cycling Studio.
Guests relaxing by the lobby cum pool side area before starting on their workout.

The coaches here are god sent when it comes to shaping us up with their valuable advice and guidance making sure that we workout the correct way and avoid injuries.
|
The breathing
technique for weight training is equally important as it could boost your strength
and help to avoid internal injuries.
|
Under the watchful eyes of another Peak Fitness coach.
This simple piece of bar may look insignificant but without
care and hands on assistance, it may pose as a hazard for beginners especially the women and that’s why the coach is always there to ensure you take safety precautions.
As for those who needs a female personal trainer there a handful of female coaches at your beck and call.
Practicing a new equipment for the first time? Not to worry as the coach will always be there to guide you.
|
For
those who are into power lifting, the use of a weight belt is crucial to avoid joint
injuries and also to increase their weight class altogether.

The Zumba class
Making sure you’re moving for the entire
session, the mixture of fast and slow rhythm of the fiery Zumba class is available
to all ages and by the end of the music you would have burned hundreds of
calories.
Doing the Body Combat
Danielle
will make sure you throw some hard punches and simultaneously execute lethal flying kicks.
The RPM Studio
Due to overwhelming attendance they created two sessions.
Cycling
bikes are limited so it’s wise to sign up early otherwise you’ll need to wait
for the second session.
|
The
RPM Studio with the schedule for this month is listed here.
|
The Holistic Studio
At Zen with the yoga instructor Ms Yuki in the holistic studio. |
The latest Yoga schedule for September is listed outside the studio and you can see they have it everyday except on Sundays. |
At full stretch - The Yoga class is one of the most popular as you can see there’s hardly any room for a personal bubble and on some days they have a few classes to cater to the large crowd. |
The Body Pump
While most of us gritted our teeth and grunted in pain there was no let up from our instructor Marcella as she shouted “Those are your fats burning so keep going!”
|
At
the end of each session there’ll be a group photo. We are all tired and sweaty but what you're seeing are smiles of accomplishment!
|

The transition
Her fit and well-shaped body wasn't achieved overnight as it all boils down to strict discipline, major sacrifices and astute dieting.
And
when asked whether her phenomenal transition was worth it, she gritted
and replied “No pain No gain”
|
Assessing her physique evaluation by a personal trainer allows them to keep a close eye on the record of her progress.
|
At
the end of the day achieving inner peace with your true self at Peak Fitness.
|
After a strenuous workout you can relax by taking a dip in the infinity pool located at the facade of the gym.
Nothing beats the feeling of checking out after a good workout.
Hey it's the weekend and you're allowed to pack on some pounds because you'll be back in no time to shed it off.
