Unveiling the new Jigger & Shaker at d’Tempat
Country Club helmed by the trio of Mr Tan U Keong, Kevin Khor and the new head
chef Sam. Both Tan and Kevin gave the place a total makeover with a new menu
and cocktail selection while Sam would be put in charge of the kitchen.

As they had gone through the process
of food tasting and drinks for a better grasp in recommending it to the customers.

They also have plenty of Malay customers as most of the food is handled by Muslim staff and the food is sourced from Halal vendors and suppliers.

Up and personal with the new head chef Sam and when
we first met him, our first thought ‘He’s an Italian’ and when we heard him
talk ‘He’s definitely a French for sure’ but he’s actually an Egyptian.
Sam spent most of his culinary days in many parts of
the world before finally being brought here from Dubai. His entire family is
staying in Bandar Sri Sendayan thus allowing him to focus on the job at hand.

Both Tan and Kevin wanted something
different so they put in a lot of effort in order to create something unique to connect with their customers.
And that’s how Love Story was created so that they can have a topic to discuss with the customers.

Tan also stressed on the importance of
home grown talents ‘To discover the talents of our barmen is to allow them to toy with new ideas and that was how the Hero Martini was created’ he said.
So when you see it on the menu make sure
you order it because the Hero Martini is mixed with Tongkat Ali powder giving
you that extra heroic performance on the ‘battlefield’ and you can only get it at Jigger & Shaker.

Tan also said 'We don’t want the people of Seremban to drive all the way to KL, places like Changkat Bkt Btg, Jalan Pinang or Bangsar just for a drink because they can now have it here, it is not only the same but we are totally different with our own creations'

I don’t usually fancy sweet stuff but when I tried this I was crumbling within. The cheese cake is so rich and creamy and with
the ice cream melting in my mouth. It's pure heaven. It is a must try.
