"It's You We Care" at Newway Pharmacy Seremban.

‘This year's anniversary function, we will be emphasing lots more on education and information for our clients, empowering them with more knowledge unlike other pharmacies that would only talk about sales, sales and sales’ said the determined Mr Gan Ber Zin, the former chief pharmacist of Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban.

Gan had been in hospital pharmacy practice for all his 33 years of service in the healthcare industry.  When he first toyed with the idea of providing more knowledge to his clients/customers it that has led to the set up his own practice at Newway pharmacy in Jalan Rasah, Seremban.

Gan also said that in government hospital our emphasis had always been on patient counselling to improve medicine compliance. In the last decade we were setting up MTAC (Medicine Adherence clinics) where the pharmacist has a table and chair next to the clinician table. 

 

The Clinician will send the patient to the pharmacist to provide all the necessary information on medicine taking to the patient, after the clinician (Doctor) had finished examining the patient and had decided on the clinical condition of the patient. 

The MTAC service is very popular and we received so many requests for us to set up such clinics but due to lack of personnel and time we were not able to entertain all requests. 

In the late 80's he was sent to the University Hospital in Leeds, England as a WHO Fellow for few months where he had to follow the clinical pharmacists on their work rounds everyday.

His mission is to learn from the developed country on the latest practices of pharmacy at that period of time and to introduce such practices in our country.

So this coming 14th October Newway Pharmacy at Bukit Rasah Business Centre will be having it's 7th anniversary sales celebration.
